This year’s competition films
When Copenhagen International Film Festival fades up for this year’s film event on 20 September, the audience can experience 147 fantastic films. 11 of them will get special attention, namely the films in competition, which compete for the six categories of the festival’s Golden Swan award.

The experienced comedian Didier Bourdon has not only written and directed this highly unconventional French comedy, but also plays the main role. Francis is a businessman making solid progress, but one day the main shareholders decide to close down his company. As a result, he is in a complete fix, as not only his wife and children but also his ex-wife are used to being able to extract money from him. Is he about to lose everything? An impulse makes him go to a fortune-teller, and he discovers that one can make money in the paranormal world. Lots of money. So, pretending to go to work every morning, Francis dresses up as Madame Irma, a fortunetelling medium complete with wig, false teeth and apron. He acquires a run-down caravan and begins a new and lucrative business. And to his greatest surprise, he even has some unknown gifts.
