Wolfhound is an adventure film that can compete with those made in Hollywood. Inspired by classics such as Conan the Barbarian and Willow, it is mixed with a fresh dose of local folklore. The result is a gripping fantasy film. Wolfhound’s parents are slaughtered in front of his eyes when he is a small boy. For years, he works as a slave in mines, but when he finally manages to escape, he has just one thing on his mind: revenge. Instead, he gets involved in an epic struggle between Good and Evil and, as this progresses, he of course saves a princess from an assassination attempt. The mythology is well woven into the action-filled story, which never stops to catch its breath but roars ahead full-speed with sword fights, magic, and monsters in suitable doses.
